Medicare Payments Late File Notice

Under Title 42 Code of Federal Regulations, cost reports are due by the final day of the fifth month following the close of the provider’s cost report fiscal year or 30 days after receipt of valid PS&R reports from the intermediary.

If you have recently received a letter from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services with alarming information regarding your Medicare payments, it is likely that your Medicare or Medicaid cost report was misfiled, filed late, or not filed at all.

Having your cost report re-filed immediately will ensure that any losses incurred will be resolved of in a timely manner, and your funding will be restored to its original state as quickly as possible.
